Christmas Prep 2020

The week of December 21 was all things festive and fun with a side of loneliness as we got news that our Hill side wouldn't be joining us in AZ like initially planned. In typical COVID resilience form, we all just rolled with it, props to my sis in law for her amazing positivity & props to my mom for rolling with her continued quarantine. Thankfully she can "travel" through the amazing world of Youtube and has enjoyed both Sydney & London lately! Technology has been a blessing for us all!

We were able to have not only 1 night at the local church's "Christmas under the stars" event, but 2! The 1st night blew our minds ( and we were able to try the earlier service since the 7pm one had Lulu in rare fussy form), so the next day we texted our nearest and dearests and asked them to join! We were able to fill a row! It was beautiful. Like beautiful beautiful.  The best part? When they showed different church families around the world singing in their beautiful languages... just heavenly. And the 2nd best? Seeing Harrison with his buddies, standing up, singing with their candles. ❤

Here are some week before Xmas pictures!

My dad's grave is always on our visit list, especially at the holidays, so when my mom visited there and shared this, it was really nice. ❤

Lulu's carseat is now flipped around, and her mind is blown at all the fun she was missing facing the black back of the seat! 😁👀
Mom confession time.... our neighbors are an adorable family... very kind & the perfect neighbors... but they go overboard with safety. I might have judged ...🤣😉(Their evening walks have them in full reflective gear & headlamps. And their during the day time walks have them in the same...) So when I saw some safety gear at the Dollar Tree I did us all a favor and got some & actually our kids love wearing these bright vests & it is wonderful to see them in a distance, I feel kinda nerdy, but alas the kids are safe 😏
When Hannah has sleepovers, we try to spice things up for Hudson. Harrison is a good sport and enjoyed some of Hudson's "games" & the "Boys only" decorations Hudson carefully constructed. Brother time is special!

Matt's mom takes such good care of our Princess! Fun games. fun crafts, endless patience! So thankful.

Our five minutes of quiet Lulu during church!  Our gathering is small, like 20 in person including kids, with a few from that number being elderly. Watching Lulu dance and shriek after service is their highlight & it makes my mom heart happy knowing she, at 18 months, can share her gift of joy and spunk with us all, especially the older crew.❤
Post church snuggs.

Beets, Dragon Fruit, Ginger, Apple = Prettiest juice!

Oh Ann. You nailed it. Yet again.

For both our Christmas Eve party and Christmas Day, we had decided light snacks, kid friendly apps etc... but we all really wanted some legit prime rib...and the local shop had insane deals on this big slab! Matt worked his chef magic & although this was his 1st go at Prime Rib, it was INCRED.

We had some smashed sweet potatoes and greens ... and this... YUM.

And the guys were done with their long locks... and Hudson was done with his shirt as well 😅

And let's end this post with a chuckle 😇😂💗
