Happy Last Monday in August!

Although this month, I wanted to crack at the pressure of the challenges and throw in the mom towel and the work towel and the schooling online towel. by God's strength we kept on.

And with that Grace we press ahead! Looking forward to September!

Thank you Ann Voskamp for always reminding me with your blogs- to keep that attitude of gratitude! Some days and months are just easier, others it is a daily if not hourly nudge, but here we go! Lots of fam pic this week and oh so thankful for Healthy Heberts!

Thankful for early morning walks!

And chef Hannah ( no we did not eat all those eggs for breakie, but we did need to clean off the fridge shelves!)
Hannah and her happy place - in the kitchen, with a cute apron, making us food, that she is too picky to try :)
Thankful for Matt's dad making a guys night out happen! Top Golf is always a hit!
Thankful for dark clouds wind and little rain showers.
Thankful for this adorable face and her love of whipped cream.

Thankful for fun teacher inspo and mom inspo from BabblingAbby.
Thankful for early morning coffee runs with Hudbud! Simple dates are his thing.
So our sweet pet duck, Daisy, was paralyzed one morning . I am not a pet person yet  your heart still hurts when you see anything sad or in not healthy state! I googled her symptoms & we decided she must have encountered a scorpion. Sigh. So after 2 doses of meds ( benedryl, thanks to the chicken forum that hooked me up with this knowledge) , she was back to 100% normal! In the mean time, Hannah and Hudson loved petting her without getting chased or quacked at!

Thankful for low key nights with a cute movie and snuggly blankets!

Thankful for Hannah's creativity! The wall is filling up!

Thankful for chill afternoons and another movie! I love seeing Lulu all snuggled on Hannah!
Thankful for our kids they are serious troopers. We work virtually all day so even though we are present and home we are not truly available - they get it. They entertain themselves, help with Lulu, make themselves snacks and leave the dish fairy a whole sink of presents! But in the afternoons we venture out of our covid hermit house ... to the gas station... for realz. Who woulda thought a visit to QT is such a highlight. But it is
Thankful for cooler afternoons and chalk time!
As we wonder how to make the most out of our virtual work and school time, we are thinking and praying about heading far far away ... a nice easy 32 hour trek... ew... sigh... and in the meantime wondering about hurricanes on the gulf... glad to know my mom's name is picked! 😆

Our kiddos have this last week of no structure before school begins next Tuesday! We are excited by their teacher assignments and Hudson' bestie, is in his class. YEAR MADE. They have been penpals all covid. Seriously wife material you guys. 💘😅 I'll save the notes for their wedding.

Have a wonderful September, you all!! Bring on all things Fall ( in due time, not quite yet, its still triple digits) but soon the candy corn will be in our jars, and Bath and Body candles a glow. But for now, it's still watermelon and coconut! Beach vibe for days.

XO

Thankful this week to have celebrated our 16th! We hit up a new to us Burger joint as a supper treat thanks to my mom, and it was INCREDIBLE. Like we can't wait to go back but we had to make sure we survived the week- heart attack central 👀. We can at least eliminate the buns next time 😆😋

This was Matts, Spicy Mac N Cheese Burger
Harrison's traditional burger

Mine was mind blowing. Pb & J. Bacon. Sriracha Burger.  Yes eating it 1 handed to keep the peace for Lulu who was happily entertained with my phone. #momlife
Selfie!
Ride back home, dance jams on, ready to put all 4 in bed... we miss solo suppers... but yes we are thankful for our kid time too.. just feels excessive lately

Thankful for continued health.

Thankful for impromptu drives that end up at our fave sushi spot. Please note the obnoxious but oh so fun Pencil earrings! The perfect teacher zoom accessory!

Thankful for Harrison starting school and for his excitement for virtual learning.

I mean if I had this cool of classroom I wouldn't want to go to school either!

Thankful for the younger two still on summer break and yep you guessed it, they are on Lulu duty! And by they I mean Hannah, with a side of Hudson. Hudson loves protecting her from falling off the couch. So sweet.

Thankful for the crazy amount of Sunshine we enjoy. The heat is real but the joy that constant sunny days bring, is also real.

Thankful for lazy Saturday mornings. Noone woke up early, and we cruised and dream home hunted in Paradise valley, hit up a yummy bagel joint, and vegged at the pool.

Thankful this week for ...
a new read for Matt and Harrison... it's a little a heavy, but really good! ( You know I joined the reading too, but how cool that as Matt is teaching his reading block, he can silently read too!)

Thankful for Harrison doing such a good job bbsitting on the daily. Lulu and he have bonded so well and we love it.
Thankful for pizza dates!

Thankful for our little homebody. He has been the happiest in quarantine. He is obsessed with being home and always wants to stay home, and misses Mimi's house the most! He is always building a cool fort, hiding on Lulu or making a random soldier game. Creative juices flow strong. And clothes are always optional.
Thankful for consistency... all of a sudden the 5:30 alarm doesn't even go off! The body just knows. And it's easier now than it will be come cooler darker mornings to rise and grind, so we will do it til we can't :)
Thankful for random drives and ice cream treats.
Thankful for the pretty skies and the beastly tires.
Thankful for another Hudson game. And for the good sport dad that played along.
Thankful for the go cart being done. Dare I even say that? Every day there is a new thing to fix or new bolt to buy. But I think we are in the clear!? So fun that he and his buddies have this Air Conditioned barn to tinker in, and for our friend's grandpa hooking Harrison up with some awesome welding. Such a fun Covid Souvenir.
Thankful for this little love. Bedtime, as all you know, is her favorite. Of course her hair needs to look cute at bedtime ( not really but she loves having her hair combed, who doesn't!) so here is her pre crib photo shoot. She is just such a love and learned how to respond when we say Cheeeeese

Another Hudson creation. This is "like Candy land but with soldiers".
Thankful for this recommendation, and thankful I scored a copy!
Thankful to still be healthy and for hearing lowered numbers here in AZ for Covid... and for making our return to IL plans in mid Fall. Yes we would love to stay in AZ especially for the winter months, but for now we go with God like my dear late Granny said about our Hawaii trek... and trust that He has it all figured out because I promise you, we sure don't!
