8.10.10

Thankful this week for getting a little break time in! Matt & I have been working virtually & we have found a good groove, but still! With all the summer fun things closed for now we had to get creative & get outta the house!
Spontaneous staycation? Yes please!  A new to us resort, which we rated a 6/10. The space was 10/10. It was 1270 sq ft. Everyone had their own space and it was super relaxing! The decor was outdated, yet the place was spotless. The master bath tub was everything. Odd how as I adult, having a full kitchen is a plus! Who woulda thought!
And the pool was too small to feel like social distancing was truly effective. Yes I was that mom that didn't let our kids play pool volleyball, but we are healthy so far, so lets keep that trend going strong :) Here are some fun weekend memories.
Onsite mini golf. Of course we were the only ones crazy enough to be out in 111.
This was watched. ( cool matt and ali dating fact, we watched this movie, while matt was in MA and I was in IL, Matt sent me pizza and we stayed on our old massive cell phones, the entire movie. bless his heart)
breakfast!

Avo toast has been on my to try list, although I always get side tracked with choc chip pancakes... not this time! It was super yummy and super light.
Meanwhile... the guys each got this plate. YUM.

Pool time! Thankfully the water was super refreshing! The pools out here have a hard time staying cool in the summer heat!
Lulu loved the pool and loved the shady fanned area! Thank you babe for lettin momma catch a few rays!
Floats, not allowed, but noodles? Yes! Watch out!
Lulu loved this seat.
As long as she could lick the water and chew the goggle strap, she was content! Get it girl!
This part of the pool was so legit, it was the baby zone and unoccupied.
Thankful for cool kids activities and pic captured it ! Look at Hudson's body language! And Hannah is ready in the perfect squat! They won 2nd place! And big news for hudson, he congratulated the winners. YES. It might have helped that they were cute girls that were so sweet and he was slightly smitten :)
He rocked at this game! 1st attempt and he won ( if thats how you win!) we had no idea, but sounded good!
Thankful for this chillll baby.
That smirk tho, Lulu Piper stoppp it.
Thankful that we were able to share our space with Matts fam! We  celebrated our niece! The big #9!

Thankful for my mother in laws creativity! The coolest unwrap the hot potato game! Money candy and markers oh my!

Mark and Grace
Grace made these cute kitty cookies. Yum!
Then we said hey we are all dressed up, lets hit the mall!
Then we drive up, and panic ensues! The parking lot is PACKED. I freak out a little inside, and yet it all worked out. We strolled, we window shopped. The virtual wait lists for the stores was too much! I appreciated the caution but still!? Online shopping only for me still baby!

Thankful for this birthday girl! Hannah made her teal eggs for breakie & then glow golf!

Thankful for Harrison living his best life. QT is where it's at.

Thankful for just a pic in this Balenciaga coat... it was $900, originally $1800 and so pink and so fluffy and I looked like a dyed polar bear, but the selfie was kinda a must :-)

Thankful for Hissyfits 75% off sale! You guys, we mega scored!

Thankful for the pool.. and the zero entry wading area... and this bikini right!!?

Thankful for kids at home, eating healthy-ish home made food , watching Super Book bible cartoons & Lulu napping.

Thankful for Sunday gospel, we make our kids listen without any toys, and naps are frequent! We added a suggestion for a bedtime story hour with Matt & Dave .... 😂

  1. What a fun staycation! So refreshing to just get away for a bit and enjoy a change of scenery, right? And girl, that pink fluffy coat is EVERYTHING. I can't believe you passed on it. 😂
