Christmas Day 2020

Christmas Morning is here! The kids were kind enough to let the coffee brew and the traditional Pillsbury Orange Cinnamon Rolls cook, before diving in!

This year was beautiful - for our little Hebert tribe- and now sitting on the couch, with three out of 4 our kiddos, happily jammy clad, stuffing their faces, just made our hearts burst!
So thankful for our health and happiness and togetherness.
So thankful that after being together for so many hours of so many days that we all still enjoy being together. Yes, maybe the gifts and anticipation have some magical powers in all that, but our word for today, is together. And it's a great place to be.
{With all that mushy stuff said- lets keep the balance of perspective -   there were some expectation vs reality issues that my momma heart had to figure out - like adulting 😆 and how the wrapping.. cleanup from all the wrapping..  kid stuff.. food stuff.. dishes... etc continues... even on a holiday! Who knew!😅 }
Those things you totally take for granted as a kid, and think some amazing elf does it all! I def had to let my mom know this Christmas especially- how amazing her gift of Wrapping is. Some people have it. She surely does. She is a flawless, obsessed with the perfect curl kinda wrapper and it was always so taken for granted! Until ...I became the wrapper .... and my corners are never flat or uncreased and did I even buy ribbon this year? My better half quite possibly asked me where the pretty paper was. I was like um, I went with the "use all your kids brown craft paper 1st - I think it's a trend". He laughed.
But see? Not even a dried orange or twigs of green on that said craft paper - just paper and a dollar store To From Label. Gasp. Who have I become?! SMH! 😂
A Mom's elf powers are pretty much a Christmas miracle, so if you needed an E Hug today, or validation from a job well done, or just a pat on the back and cheers to you kinda praise, here you go! Moms, you rock. Aunts, you rock. Grandmas, you rock. And if any guys read this, you rock too. 💙

Memories from our Magical Morning & Beyond!

1st Gift, after stockings, was the family game. This got great reviews, and any game we can throw things at each other, sounds perfect!

The kids got new bibles, and in true Hudson form, he flipped it open to a random passage and read all the study notes on the side.

These are what we ordered in case you are interested!

LED light up cubes were my latest find & were a huge hit.

The verse of the day, of the Advent plan. Sums it all up. XO

Christmas Eve 2020

COVID's incredible silver lining is us being able to be closer to Matt's family & it has been really special. Family is family & there will always be the joy and the forever togetherness yet coupled with the annoyances and the messiness, but this year, somehow we were preserved from the latter two, and we were able to really be joyful and connected. Very very thankful.

Santa delivered some of the green stuff to us a little early, so we got the perfect addition to our outdoor movie setup! Matt assembled it in a snap, and its soo nice to have some heat out there!

Christmas Eve.
Hit Crossfit's 12 days of Christmas Workout.
We left starving & sore.
So off to eat!
Here is Miss Cindy Lou Who. Looking Grinchy but she's just seriously focused on her Lucky Charms 😅
Thank you Hissyfits for this adorable custom get up!
Matt's dad bought us our 1st Hot chocolate bombs! We have heard the hype. We wanted to try them and oh the gold ones were so pretty! Review: 5/5 for presentation ... Since we only sip hot choc for the nostalgia we give it 5/5 for taste, but our kids don't like it. Parenting fail 101- Raising kids who don't drink the holiday drinks. 😂 The wow factor of the moment when it melts was really fun to watch ... so overall- they get a perfect review!!
The Hebert Grandkids!
Who knew, that when Matt's mom and dad moved to Laveen, a year after we bought our 1st house there, that they would STILL be in that same house. Upgrades & memories galore, and here we are for another celebration together. ( And yes, we always do the drive by of our old house and share all the memories from Harrison's early years and Hannah's 1st year with them 💗)
Mom Hack : Bring a highchair wherever you go!
💕

The opening begins.
Priceless.

Matt's mom loves Pintrest and recreates the coolest ideas! Her Toilet Paper snowmen were adorbs.
And her saran wrap gift game has become a family tradition.

We love you Memere!
Back home, kids are snuggled in bed after we watched Clive & Ian's 12 Questions about Christmas
( Another plug for Right Now Media!) And although its juvenile, the questions were great and they were just a little over 1 minute each. The perfect before bed show to spark some good questions!

Breakfast spots are set and ready!
Stockings are stuffed.
