Happy Multitude Monday!

Ann Voskamp's post today about the dailyness of dishes truly resonated. Although our janitor at school was a hot mess many days, I want a janitor to help out around our school aka home :) The never ending messes tho! But let's take a minute to see the beauty in the dailyness of the dishes. The daily joys through the journey. Watching how God is in every minute and His faithfulness shines bright and how our faithfulness needs to shine bright as well. "Faithfulness is built on the ordinary things we do faithfully every day."(annvoskamp.com, 2021).

Thankful for amazing weather. We are always in awe that it's really winter.

Thankful for our health.

Thankful for Harrison, my amazing cheerleader when we work out together. He may be my biggest debater at home yet in public his heart for his momma shines big! Love you buddy!

Thankful for our new venture of homeschooling going well. This is week 3 of Hebert Homeschool for 2 out of 4, and so far so good! We love the new routines and flexibility!

Thankful for spiritual nourishment this weekend. Some weeks can feel noisy and full - and yet empty. Shame on me! But it's the truth! Other weeks can be noisy yet quiet, full yet peaceful & leave your heart , mind and soul at ease. This weekend was that. It started strong by a foundations Crossfit class . Just 5 of us understanding the whys of Crossfit. Understanding the whys of anything are important and it helped set a reflective mindset. Then we visited a local church to hear fellow Crossfitter and Fittest Man on Earth Rich Fronig share a message. It was inspirational. It gave us pause for reflection. It gave the kids a new to them play place- for the 1st time since March all 3 were in separate classes!  Then our own gathering on Sunday, had our good friend as the guest speaker on zoom, all the way from Toronto. His passion for the truth and his mesmerizing speaking style made for a wonderful Family Bible Hour.

Thankful for Hudson's basketball camp. Having a special needs sporting event, where there are no disclaimers to the coach before hand, there are no wonderings about what crazy phrase your son will say in all innocence, yet with great offense, or what aggression may come or what misunderstanding will ensue. We walk in. He is totally, 100% understood. There is a peace that passes all understanding. That. It's felt. In such big ways and you guys, its so refreshing. SO. His coach had a skin pigmentation that was black and white, and Hudson said, "hey you look like a pig". I died. With embarrassment like wanting to crawl away and just hide. How could he have literally just said that!? In all honesty I got where Hudson was coming from- because of course his skin did look like the pig we saw at the farmers market- but hello?! Saying that to a human is beyond rude on every level!? And that my friends is part of Hudson's dynamic- that missing link to understand social norms. But the coach understood. He knew he was there to love on kids that were made in unique ways, and he laughed, and played and coached Hudson with all his heart. It was the BEST. So. very. thankful.

Here is our week in pictures

Those smiles say it all. Star Wars chocolate in our bed, with all our attention?
Thankful for the Exceptional Stars Basketball program! Hudson is able to play sports with a one on one instructor, while on a "team" of friends, in a safe and judgement free zone. Next Saturday is trophy day. The countdown has already begun! It was a beautiful experience. His coach was amazing. His joy level was threw the roof. And yes, this shot went in.

Happy Valentine's Day!

So Hannah loves making powerpoints and made me a Valentine one! I LOVED it. She is just the best! But this picture had me dying. Throw back to 2 years ago, Spring Break, when it was a beautiful sunny and windy day. We had no idea how burnt we got until the next morning and I had some serious lip damage making those puckers look oh so voluminous.  Inspiring I know. ;)
Keeping the smooch on the face tradition alive.
My best Valentine's! XO
Thoughts for your day!

Our week in pictures!

It was a hectic week- combo of online teaching during the breaks of the Dissertation Defense classes and the chairs were sticklers- although super awesome! They ensured our success and kept my distracted self in those rooms til 5pm! But we made it through! Matt wins all the multitasking Dad trophies. He taught and maintained sanity with 4 kids in the adjoining room! Teamwork makes the dream work!

This was everything. One of my students was visiting family here in AZ and came by to meet me in person! ALL THE HEARTS.
Thankful for someone else making the daily food - breakfast lunch & dinner, plus 2 snacks. I felt like a kid. It was beautiful.

The crew!
Hannah was beaming with the macaron ice cream treat! Yum!
Pool time!

We were thankful to have local friends over for pizza and crokinole! This was a new to us game & we all LOVE it!

Early bird gets the best chairs. Oh wait, I think we were the crazy birds. It was 60 degrees and noone else was swimming for 3 hours! 👀

Sunday church time, and she lasted longer than usual! She loves sitting on the seats now!
Super Bowl Sunday!
Elle and Lulu
That sky tho!

Have a great week xo
