I love love love celebrating my birthday...I love love love how my parents got so into it every single year... my mom would rock the adorable yummy Funfetti cakes with rainbow chip frosting... my dad always found T.H.E gift.... he was such a good gifter,,, I'm sure that was in his genes... all the fun birthday festivities that my parents did for me... remember many parties with fondness & awe as to how my mom had that patience for my school friends ... especially the Mexican Fiesta party in middle school... us girls were to wimpy to beat the pinata... so here goes my dad... and WHACK... there goes my mouth... hahaha..... I was too excited about the candy spilling out because although he nailed my mouth he nailed that crazy pinata too!!! Hooray!!!
but in real life.... these special days... make my heart ache... in huge heavy ways to celebrate with my mommy cookie & dad again.... some day!
Thankful for Amazon's same day delivery... my phone might have been dropped for the upteenth time- screen protector and all- it was a gone-r.... the choices the choices the choices when it came time to buy... but please, this crazy cheapskate went with the same old 5 iphone! And although zero of my contacts stored ( so please text me!), I can take pics, check insta & pay for Dunkin again :) That phone is such a crazy multi tasker tool. Love it. Thank you Amazon. Thank you Apple.
Thankful for a fun week back from break. I literally adore my class- minus 3 kids. Those 3 kids, I do love some minutes of the day, but I may also be okay with it when they are absent too :)
Thank you Insta for this amazing quote. It got printed out and has stuck with me every single day... what a daily prayer this is...
Thankful that my sweet Granny remembers every single birthday... every single year... Hudson's card came days in advance... then mine came last week... I love that we are close... I wish that we made the 5 hour jump to Iowa more often to hug and connect, but we just don't... Praying she stays healthy for many more years...she is so sweet.
Thankful for our crazy schedule. #embraceit #attitudeofgratitude
Although I do miss Matt each evening, I love love love love that he is with our tribe before school and after school every day... it made Monday post break easier to leave for work... I love the memories that he gets with our kids..
We have had way too many reminders lately about the brevity of life... and we are really trying to listen to the Lord and take the memo that LIFE IS SHORT... and embrace the moments...the smiles before the bus... the stuffed donut faces...
Thankful that we were able to have a yummy Earth Day snack
Thankful for a hard working hunny buns... we are getting super close to moving into our new building for our gathering, and with that comes many work days... on days that we totally normally protect from people and places to just have US time... but this Saturday we knew since there were no sporting events, that we had to sacrifice our Saturday for God... and here is Matty with the sun rise.. yes on a Saturday.. who wakes up that early!? and then the crew that was hired from PGM to help lay the 34 pallets of sod ... they worked with other believers literally from 7-7.... whew... their finished product looks LEGIT.
Thankful for compliments at the mall...
{see what happens when Matt is gone all day!? I might have taken the kids to the mall for a bit...}
A sweet lady might have looked at Hudson and that is his cue to open up and talk a mile a minute... and she was sooooo patient.. and listened and pretended to be all in... and then paid them all a compliment which is big news to Harr... he is all about the public notice at this fun age of 11.5 ☺
Thankful that the dress that was so so perfect... and ruffly.. and my dream b-day dress... had a big tear on the butt... Hannah's like mom is that hole supposed to be there? Ummmm no chicky, no... but God was telling me to save that cash... and good thing He did! Needed it for dessert ;)
Happy to see you too, breakfast.
Thankful to have gotten ready early enough for a pic on Sunday - thankful too for Mr. Sun, but with that comes squinty eyes and groans ;)
