Winter Break 2020

Although teaching virtually, feels like a vacation many days, once we clocked out on 12/18, it was like FREEEEDOOOOMMMM!! 

And this winter break found us staying put! How often we travel, and sometimes feel more winded after a 2 week break than actually refreshed. 

Not so much this year. 

All the random naps, snuggles, playtime & outdoor things happened.

Dec 26th

Tempe Town Lake day! 

The kids' verse of the week. Their SS teacher has them write it down twice each week. I love that idea and I love this verse.

Gift card shopping trips!

(Not pictured is our practical spender's loot. Not sure we needed to document the guy essentials. I am documenting how impressed I am by his practicality! Who knew that at 15 he would spend his Target cash on Listerine, Aveeno & Taquitos! Go son, Go!)

Phoenix Zoo!

The kids have eyed the Rideables since we got our membership. 

Thankfully the lines to rent them are always too long. 

Today however, we were 1st ones there! 

Hannah's day was made. And her heart is just so big. She eyed the sequined unicorn ( or maybe I eyed that hoping she was eyeing it too ;)) 

I took Lulu to the washroom and came back to the blue camo one!? 

I said Ohh how cool! She's like- yeah I thought Hudson would love it. Of course you did, girly. Always other's focused. 

Also that night we went to the coolest drive thru light display. 

And then after a festive night we said Bye to all things Christmassy & cleaned like crazy! We loved all the lights and all the sparkle that Christmas decor brings, but we also LOVE Valentine's Day too... sooo bring on all the pink red and hearts now! And guys, we totally left all the white sparkle lights up around our house! It feels like the perfect winter twinkle. 

And then we heard a friend from IL was planning to be in Vegas.... we checked rates.. and made an impromptu Vegas trip happen!
