Happy Monday Blogger Friends!

Still dreaming that it's the weekend, but since we are all kinda crispy from the sunny Saturday we had, we are ready to stay in and work today :)

Thankful this week for getting into a groove. It's a hectic kinda groove, but it's still a groove, and understanding that the high expectations we all have may just have to be lowered for a little while. How are you all doing with the homeschooling/virtual/hybrid work school model?? Do share some tips!! (After all, we do have a 1 year old running lose through the house as we all work and school!)

Thankful this week for time to be still with God. You guys, it should happen way more often than it does, in my little world, but that will be a constant work in progress. Stop the noise, stop the distractions and discouragements and just be with Him. This week I have been enjoying Mark, and hope to learn more about the Lord's compassion.

Thankful for time with our fam jam. I might have had a little daymare about the "normal" life routine we had pre-covid, and although our days are a blur and sometimes a total headache, I know our commuting days, in the dark cold Midwest (winter months), with daycare for Lulu, was a bigger headache, so here we are, and we are very very very thankful to be bubble wrapped in our little beach bubble for a couple more weeks.

Thankful for awesome school families and small class sizes - only 14 students enrolled so far, in my class! Our personal kids have bigger class sizes, but they are all doing well with it too. We have 7 alarms for Hudson for his daily routine, which seems excessive, but last week he started being self directed and we were all so proud. Our kids excitement for school is beautiful, and Harrison said just last night how he wants to be  virtual for the rest of High School!

Thankful for the salty air and beach breezes. We see our kids thrive in nature during their recess and lunch break. We all need to get outside more & we are thankful to be able to do that here.

Thankful for a new to us pizza place, but the coolest part is meeting new people! It was empty, the owner was legit, the food was fantastic! If you're ever in Madeira, hit up Brooklyn Pizza! And we loved getting dressed up for it! The girls had on their Easter dresses! It was so fun!

(Not pictured were the 2 massive pizzas we did not finish! So yummy!)

Thankful for my spontaneous hubby, who came up with a fun Sunday adventure! Sanibel Island! It was beautiful!

It's known for the shells, and shells there were! The kids were so excited to take home buckets full! And in true Hannah form, she figured out that they all needed to be boiled to be cleaned?! And so she and Harrison cleaned all the shells and now have high hopes for jewelry making.

Thankful for answered prayer on family issues. One day at a time is a good motto, and seeing the goodness of God in those days is literally awesome. Psalm 126:3

Thankful for a new week, a fresh start to love others and show compassion (Mark 5: 19) Let's do this!! XO

  1. ALL THE BEACH VIBES! Girl, when our kids are grown and we're old ladies we are totally chilling at the beach together all winter long as we get insanely tan and wrinkled.

My best tip for all this virtual/hybrid/toddler mayhem? Exactly what you're doing- lowering expectations, taking deep breaths, and just doing the best you can. I feel like everyone's situation needs to look different as they do what works best for their family. I'm praying for you, though- as it certainly is TOUGH at times! Hang in there, and enjoy those gorgeous views and salty air! 💛
