Happy Last Monday in August!
Although this month, I wanted to crack at the pressure of the challenges and throw in the mom towel and the work towel and the schooling online towel. by God's strength we kept on.
And with that Grace we press ahead! Looking forward to September!
Thank you Ann Voskamp for always reminding me with your blogs- to keep that attitude of gratitude! Some days and months are just easier, others it is a daily if not hourly nudge, but here we go! Lots of fam pic this week and oh so thankful for Healthy Heberts!
Thankful for early morning walks!
And chef Hannah ( no we did not eat all those eggs for breakie, but we did need to clean off the fridge shelves!)Hannah and her happy place - in the kitchen, with a cute apron, making us food, that she is too picky to try :)
Thankful for Matt's dad making a guys night out happen! Top Golf is always a hit!
Thankful for dark clouds wind and little rain showers.
Thankful for this adorable face and her love of whipped cream.
Thankful for fun teacher inspo and mom inspo from BabblingAbby.
Thankful for early morning coffee runs with Hudbud! Simple dates are his thing.
So our sweet pet duck, Daisy, was paralyzed one morning . I am not a pet person yet your heart still hurts when you see anything sad or in not healthy state! I googled her symptoms & we decided she must have encountered a scorpion. Sigh. So after 2 doses of meds ( benedryl, thanks to the chicken forum that hooked me up with this knowledge) , she was back to 100% normal! In the mean time, Hannah and Hudson loved petting her without getting chased or quacked at!
Thankful for low key nights with a cute movie and snuggly blankets!
Thankful for Hannah's creativity! The wall is filling up!
Thankful for our kids they are serious troopers. We work virtually all day so even though we are present and home we are not truly available - they get it. They entertain themselves, help with Lulu, make themselves snacks and leave the dish fairy a whole sink of presents! But in the afternoons we venture out of our covid hermit house ... to the gas station... for realz. Who woulda thought a visit to QT is such a highlight. But it is
Thankful for cooler afternoons and chalk time!
As we wonder how to make the most out of our virtual work and school time, we are thinking and praying about heading far far away ... a nice easy 32 hour trek... ew... sigh... and in the meantime wondering about hurricanes on the gulf... glad to know my mom's name is picked! 😆
Our kiddos have this last week of no structure before school begins next Tuesday! We are excited by their teacher assignments and Hudson' bestie, is in his class. YEAR MADE. They have been penpals all covid. Seriously wife material you guys. 💘😅 I'll save the notes for their wedding.
Have a wonderful September, you all!! Bring on all things Fall ( in due time, not quite yet, its still triple digits) but soon the candy corn will be in our jars, and Bath and Body candles a glow. But for now, it's still watermelon and coconut! Beach vibe for days.
