6 Days Until Baby Sis & What a Weekend!

Thursday was Harrison's 8th grade luncheon and dance. It was his 1st dance and I loved that it was instead of a school day, seems safer to have that kinda thing during the day? Especially for us new to this stage parents! I couldn't even handle a night time "real" dance! Since it was a school day, their phones could only be used for 20 minutes. This in itself eased my mind! No drama ensued. He had the time of his life! His pictures looked amazing & "no mom, there were no slow dance songs, it was just loud dance and jump music all day". So not even a girl dance yet. Phew. ;)

Friday: Field Trip for my class!
Thankfully my parent chaperones came through and I only had one angel in my group to add to my kiddos mix. It was cloudy and cool and we escaped the thunderstorms. We literally saw only one animal, but the face painting and LEGO exhibit was well worth it!

"I want the dino, but I want it like a mermaid" - Of course you do Hannah, of course. 😍

When you all wake up early, on a holiday weekend, we seek random adventure!
Trekking the hour to see Michael Jordan's home  gate. His house is for sale... at a mere $15 Million.
Next stop- our fave fishing place!

In true Hudson form... ahhh a fish!😅

Why does the momma with her nicely done nails and neon outfit ( clearly we hadn't planned on fishing!) get the job of worming all the hooks?! GROSS and more GROSS. But anything for those weasels - especially for Hannah who is obsessed with fishing for some reason!?

With fish on our mind... and knowing it would be a minute before we ventured to our fave sushi place again.... we hit up Sushi Ya...
 New to us rolls!
Tropical.. so light and so good.

I need their watermelon slicing and stacking skillzzzz.

All that activity... happened before noon.. so yes we were all nap ready.
Leave it to Chef Dad- who had a craving for apple crisp!

Boxers and Red White and Blue Ice cream by our new fire pit = the perfect way to end Saturday until the 'squitos came.
Someone had a sprained ankle in this picture... maybe the same someone who needed to wash his truck before the predicted rain storms? Anyways, between him and his hobble and me and my swollen ankles, we needed a morning to lay low & eat Brunch!

And a visit to the puppy store!
"If I can't see the puppy- he will leave me alone "

Thank you Target for having the best outdoor rug selection! You'd think the chair cushions were part of the same line! So tropical and sets the perfect mood for swimming days and Smore nights!
And of course since Baby H's little nook is ready and my nesting craze needed to come out... here are some fun ways to organize pool gear making it super accessible for all guests!

 Happy Memorial Day -2019-

Thankful for our neighbors and their sweet boys. Hudson and Ozzie are both in Kindergarten and get along great.
 Lifetime's pool is open!!!
In true baby prep- I need cute Labor Toes.... here's hoping the nail tech can hook a momma up!!
The neighbor crew.... squirt gunning, water ballooning & pizza scarfin'.

 Then this!?! Really?

Thankful for this encouragement

  1. So much fun! Hudson's reactions to the animals had me cracking up. 😂😂
Way to go hooking those fishing lines girl!
Labor nails are a definite necessity...I remember my doctor commenting on mine while I was having Grace, telling me they looked like a hot rod. 😂
