It's no April Fool's - I LOVE this month!!!!
What an awesome week we had last week, a great staycation to wrap up the Spring Break week, and now a new month! YES!
With our kiddos school district on Spring Break, 3 weeks before Matt & my break, I had to get creative to make sure they had a blast! HUGE props to my mom and Ray for having the energy and selflessness to share days with the kiddos!!!
Monday: Harrison's city date with Mimi and Grandpa Ray... from museum fun to Ghiredelli treats, he loved his solo time!
Hudson and Hannah loved coming to work with me. Hudson showed some sick engineering skills yet again!
And he can write... all the heart eyes...
Monday ended with gymnastics ( her squats with an itty bitty kettlebell was just too cute not to capture!) & an ice cream date with Auntie Mila and the cousins!
Tuesday: all three kiddos stayed home... yes you should have prayed for my mom in a special way that day ;)
I had set up a movie at the Dine in theater, and so they trekked out to the mall for this show, which apparently was not amazing, but their food was!
Wednesday! 3/27/19
Hudson's official 6th birthday & I took the day off!!! He is obsessed with dogs, so this was waiting for him when he woke up! Thanks to Amazon & Memere who sent presents!
It was the warmest day of the week, so we went to the zoo!
New cup from Gracie!
Dusty sent me this oldie of baby Hudson!
Then we came home, and had a Nerf Battle!
And made a trip the puppy store, to remind me why I will never have a dog, but the kids did enjoy it for the 3 minutes they got to play :)
And he said he wasn't 6 alllll day, until he blew out his candle! So we waited
Officially 6!
Thursday: Hannah had her date solo with Mimi & Grandpa Ray... from cinnabons, carasel, Build A Bear, Sephora to Costco, she loved all the attention & freedom from her bros!
Harrison got to have a glimpse into Matt's day & loved it!
Hudson came solo with me, and had my friend's Cop hubby pop in to let him wear his badge
And then he's out!
Friday!
Hudson's friend party night!
Hannah & Hudson came to school with me, and Harrison helped my mom and Ray get the food ready and get some sporty shopping done ( since he made the soccer team!!!!)
Since my partner in crime, amazing teacher assistance Miss Jordan couldn't make Hudson's party, her and her hubby came to bring all the coolest Cop toys and clothes to him!!! So sweet and he felt SO special!
Harrison and I are almost sharing shoes. WHAT!!?? Coolest cleats ever...
Hudson's Lifetime Fitness Gym Bash!!!
Matt was so brave and overcame his fear of heights for a few minutes!!
There's Hannah!Nothing Bundt Cakes... you did it again... so delish...
Hudson praying for the birthday meal.
My amazing boss trekked through the many crazy miles to pop in!!!
We have grown a little wiser with each kiddo and realize how peaceful, calm and not as stressful opening gifts at home, post party, is! We opened most Friday night & some the next morning! It was perfect!
And post party bliss. Early morning Saturday had him busy and quiet. ❤
With free hotel points, a 3rd grader who needed a visit to the Art Institute for her Landmark research, and decent weather forecasted, we ended Spring Break Round 1, with a staycation!
Poke Bowls! YUM.
Miso Soup ( well just the broth, the seaweed and tofu were graciously donated to baby sister ;))
And they sleep. 👌
BEST STORE EVER. I had some early bday fun & found the coolest bath stuff! This for one is a bath bomb that makes green water and citrus smelling kiddos AND BLOWS BUBBLES!!!
And now the single digit school day countdown to our official spring break is ON.
8.
That number seems to small yet we know will take an eternity to get to!
XO
What a crazy fun week!!! Love all of Hudson's puppy party goodies, and his birthday party at Lifetime looks completely amazing. You seriously made such a fun week for your kids- love it all! And yes, Lush is FANTASTIC.
