Reality is quite something...insert all the deep sighs... and little temper tantrum here.. . I like daydreaming and imagining my birthday week kicking off slightly more magical than how it did... hence this post coming a day late.... but in reality whats a Monday of a birthday week during COVID 19 anyways? All the days are a blur.. kids are non stop.. work is non stop.. life is non stop yet in weird and hard ways! Time zone differences confuse me more than I want to admit! Yet- we are thankful we are healthy and employed, and the spiritual high from Sunday was popped early Monday morning... but New Morning & New Mercies... that may be my year 37 catch phrase! Or a new tattoo idea.. or wall art... maybe wall art, sounds a little less permanent than a tatt! See what 'Rona is doing to this mind! YIKES! 😂
So here we are.. on a Tuesday... thankful for the sunny AZ days that we still get to enjoy, as we heard word Friday about "in school" teaching not happening this school year. Initially I was BEYOND thankful. In our Hebert bubble that was music to our ears... We had just moved from our vacation rental to a longer term way more economical rental... and we were doubting that decision in big ways... then we got the word from the governor... and then we felt more at peace... we have no idea of our timing in sunny AZ- but we know that we love the warmth, sun and fun outdoor lifestyle during this time, so ... one day at a time! Extra bonus : to have Matt's amazing MIL so close! Hannah loves sleeping over there, and you know what? In all transparency... having 1 less kiddo a night or two a week really helps the dynamics 😏
Thankful today for the orange blossom flowers. If I could send you scratch and sniff pix I would. They literally make the phrase "stop and smell the flowers" essential.
Thankful for being in the same rental that we brought Hudson home from the hospital in. We loved this area then, and love it now!
Thankful for my mom being on the mend! She took a nasty fall on a daily walk last week, and got pretty banged up! Thankful Ray is with her & that her body is strong and recovering well!
Thankful for technology that connects friends from all over! And church services, at all different times, when Lulu is asleep and our hair can be a hot mess! Little perks are kinda cool!
Thankful that my cousin, who is like an older brother to Harrison, from Cali, was able to drive over this weekend!
He was like "Wait What - you haven't ever had In and Outs Animal fries?" Umm... no clue what that means but no! And so he delivered these artery cloggers at midnight! Gotta love it!
Review: tasty and ok, but not worth the zillion calories! 😋😆
Thankful for snail mail and pen pals. Hannah wrote cards a couple weeks ago and this week her friends wrote her back. It's so fun getting happy mail! If you want a Happy Hannah note with adorable stickers and messy handwriting let me know! She lovessss writing & she lovesss filling peoples buckets up. Such a love.
Thankful for an awesome work team & awesome admin. Balancing the new norm is hectic but having the strong cheering squad behind us as we do it - is pretty cool! And thankful for our kids' teachers and their understanding of our hot mess express!
Thankful for being able to look forward to a 100 degree Birthday Friday, and an outdoor movie night!
With homemade ice cream from my newest Insta account shannysfrozenbananas.
Enjoy some simple sunny pics of our week!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gGa1w_bnvM : Still loving this song! I miss singing with church weekly! Love all of David Phelps TBH! Enjoy!

The struggle with disappointments is real! We're all facing different disappointments and struggles during this time, and sometimes it's so overwhelming. But good for you for looking for the positives, and I love your motto for year 37! It's perfect. And girl- I would give ANYTHING to have a 100 degree day on my birthday. ENJOY THAT SUNSHINE! Wishing you the most fabulous day ever, just like YOU. 😘🎉🎈🎁🛍🎂🍨
