Today's the day!
I love love love birthdays. and it's super fun when it's mine!
Thankful this week :
for a hubby who goes above and beyond to spoil me. he knows my complete obsession with my birthday and was so sweet to let our friends and family know to text and spread aloha vibes to me all day... the office staff decorated my room - it's always been a dream to walk into my room and it be either set up already ( 1st week of school goals) or decorated for something fun... and today... it was... so so so so cool....
and disclaimer- yes we take lots of smiling in paradise pics, we love life and we love each other- but there are also not pictured moments (obvi) that are hard and tearful and annoying and frustrating and sometimes I want to rant on social media about the broken side of all the beautiful Hawaii Hebert Pics- but I refrain- knowing it must be known? We are humans- so that in itself should say that we are sinners and flawed and imperfect... the list goes on... but just in case that is overlooked...
I speak the truth here ;)
for a work environment that promotes growth and sparks love. I adore this school & everyone I work with. It is SUCH bittersweetness to be excited about the end of school countdown... SUCH...
for people showing love. from dinners out, to gifts in the mail, the :Love Does: mentality is so appreciated. XO
for a new read! Everybody, Always : by same author as Love Does - Bob Goff!
for adventures with the fam jam- Saturday we drove to the East side- then back across the island to the city, and then sad for us, sat in claustrophic, dead stopped construction traffic for nearly 2 hours, but the adventures were worth it! North Shore beckons this weekend!
for hearing from our friends in Costa Rica, who are there to help with gospel efforts. Love you girls!
Prayers appreciated for the gospel there and the children's work. So many little people to serve and help and share Jesus with!
for my boss being extra organized, end of year paperwork is already done! So amazing to not be rushed with that kinda stuff!
for our 1st May Day performance coming up! The kids have been practicing and Mat 25th is the day we will see them dance in front of the whole school community! Can. not. wait.
Fellowship Friday : April Edition
Love how good God is. We moved here in July. A friend from WA came out the following week to visit her family. Her niece - below- goes to our school! Her amazingly sweet momma Shelby & I have been texting since last summer and FINALLY got to actually hang out at FFriday! She has ovarian cancer, so please pray for her strength and for the chemo to work effectively and for her littles to be extra good and sleep at night so momma can get healthy fast!
Our Saturday morning drive! We love going into the clouds!
Waikiki Time! We had wanted to visit this military museum with Grandpa Ray, but timing didn't allow. We were excited to visit it Saturday! The boys were obsessed with all the older weapons! Hannah and I might have been counting down til the boba drinks ;)
Blessed to have an amazing parent of a student share her beautiful pictures and encouragement with me!
Kicking off Birthday week at Ichiriki! Hot Pot kinda place. Everyone gets a burner and broth and you choose what you dump in to create an amazing soup!
Finally connected with these sweethearts. So good to be together.
Why, thank you Starbucks.
Clearly an 80s baby :)
Ohhh this munchkin!!
As a teacher, the 1st rule is to be friends with the janitor and the office staff.... these girls are so good in every way. Their love for the kids, their love for the Lord, their love to make my heart burst... so so sweet!
two of my teammates... love them! Need to clone them and bring them to the mainland :)
Came home from work, to a sleeping Hudson, who was apparently just coughing his poor self to puke mode. Not the ideal birthday supper date? So Matt graciously stayed home, and the bigger 2 joined me beachside for some sips and sun!
