Thankful that today is no school! Love me some long weekends! This weekend and next weekend are both 3 days! Holla!
Thankful for backs to lean on, and laps to nap in.
Thankful for my class. They might have made Maili History. The attendance ribbon goes to the class that ends each month with the highest percentage of kids in attendance. It has not left my door this whole year! My heart just bursts each month. Love these kids. Love that ribbon too!
Thankful for that 1 second walk to the cart depot. A Target trip. With the trio. With an intense momma. Good thing most of the trip was pre-ordered ( I love that Target shops for you!) I might have walked extra slowly back to the car.... and then I found my groove again with some awesome jams and some cooled down kiddos.
Fear is a Liar & You Make Me Brave ( By Bethel Music) are just so so good. And so uplifting.
Lyrics from Fear is Liar
Lyrics
When he told you you’re not good enough
When he told you you’re not right
When he told you you’re not strong enough
To put up a good fight
When he told you you’re not worthy
When he told you you’re not loved
When he told you you’re not beautiful
That you’ll never be enough
When he told you you’re not right
When he told you you’re not strong enough
To put up a good fight
When he told you you’re not worthy
When he told you you’re not loved
When he told you you’re not beautiful
That you’ll never be enough
Fear he is a liar
He will take your breath
Stop you in your steps
Fear he is a liar
He will rob your rest
Steal your happiness
Cast your fear in the fire
'Cause fear he is a liar
He will take your breath
Stop you in your steps
Fear he is a liar
He will rob your rest
Steal your happiness
Cast your fear in the fire
'Cause fear he is a liar
When he told you were troubled
You’ll forever be alone
When he told you you should run away
You’ll never find a home
When he told you you were dirty
And you should be ashamed
When he told you you could be the one
That grace could never change
You’ll forever be alone
When he told you you should run away
You’ll never find a home
When he told you you were dirty
And you should be ashamed
When he told you you could be the one
That grace could never change
Fear he is a liar
He will take your breath
Stop you in your steps
Fear he is a liar
He will rob your rest
Steal your happiness
Cast your fear in the fire
'Cause fear he is a liar
He will take your breath
Stop you in your steps
Fear he is a liar
He will rob your rest
Steal your happiness
Cast your fear in the fire
'Cause fear he is a liar
Let Your fire fall and cast out all my fears
Let Your fire fall Your love is all I feel
Let Your fire fall Your love is all I feel
Fear he is a liar
He will take your breath
Stop you in your steps
Fear he is a liar
He will rob your rest
Steal your happiness
Cast your fear in the fire
'Cause fear he is a liar
He will take your breath
Stop you in your steps
Fear he is a liar
He will rob your rest
Steal your happiness
Cast your fear in the fire
'Cause fear he is a liar
I adore centers in my classroom and adore the freedom of choice that it empowers the kids with (it also takes the pressure off me to entertain everyone too!). So the plan is... after lasagna- they are free to explore the 3 centers at their leisure. Cookie deco- with cookies baked with love from Olivia. Playdough- with the coolest make your own flower time . Side walk chalk, bubbles and glow sticks.
Fellowship Friday Photo Dump!
Madi and Hannah. Look like sisters right? So cute! Madi is in my class, and lives just a couple miles away.Cookie time!
The idea of kids eating first was great, so that the food table was free for the adults while the kids were cookie-ing and playdough-ing.
"Chocolate hearts"
Nye and his cool playdough rose!
The boys enjoying the calm after the "storm" :) Kids are gone, house is quiet, and they can ripstick outside all night ( minus Hud).
Best part of party hosting- breakfast choices of cookies and cupcakes ;)
Saturday Hike with the guys! Matt has it on his heart to connect the guys more here, and what better way then to scale a mountain together :) Matt, Keith, Nate, Jeff and his son, Nick and his 2 sons, and Harrison powered through a good workout together! Such a great way to be strong together. We pray that Nick, a dad of one of my students, will want to hear more about the Lord. He has gone to church in the past, and Matt knows he is searching for something more....
Hooray for Hudson meeting the slide requirements! But guys, the steps up to the slides are HIGH and this boy is oh so careless, it literally gave me a few mini heart attacks. But we both are still standing today ( bearly ;))
That sly smirk. Oh Hudson you sure are a heart breaker.
Thankful for the long breaks in between church services on Sunday. We are done at 12, then we have until 7... and because today is off, we thought we could skip the naps and productivity at home and hit Waikiki :) Great choice. Our favorite street to park on did not disappoint. Free parking too! And we chose a near to our car beach area too, which was ideal.
Time outs happen even at the beach... sigh... but at least momma can be tanning during the re-direction!
Post Beach we wanted a cool treat.
Input "ice cream" into maps and it led us here.
Volcano Shakes.
Perfect we thought. Hence the very big smiles on all 3 kids. And the amazingly delish background photos
.
Inside the place... there were like 10 options of shakes all over $17!
Yes the donut one did look amazing.
Finally stopped to take a picture of this fabulous wall.
That cloud art - so puffy! God's masterpiece in action. We love noticing creation in a whole new way out here. 😎😍
Thankful for poolside fun.
We had the luxury of using a cool rocket float a few weeks ago at KoOlina.
That popped, but it made us look for other cool ride on floats.
Thank you Amazon. 3 ride on floats for 15 bucks!
Thankful for Valentine gifts from grandparents that treat us to lunch and snacks pool side! Yum!
💟💘Share the love... especially this week... ❤💕
Your bulletin boards look fantastic...I love that simple, clean look (although I also love the cutesy, decor overload look at times too. 😉)
ReplyDeleteThe Valentine's Party?! PERFECTION. I love the stations, the hearts galore, the smiles on everyone's faces....awesome job.
The sunshine, palm trees, pools, and beaches are all still looking pretty incredible...I'm enjoying it all through your pictures. 😊🏝
