Disney Day 2! 2022

So very thankful to relive these memories as I post them. 

One game changer- the tent we got for Lulu at home, that surrounds the crib kinda thing to avoid climbing out. It's pink and ruffley and mesh and looks cute ... it is a GREAT investment if you have a little monkey that you need to keep safe at all hours of the night! It was too big for the pack n play but we made it work and that was amazing for us all. 

This is how it looks at home. Still plenty high for her jumping and all things goofy before bed, but she stays in and stays safe! 

Oh one super cool perk of our hotel was the breakfast. I'm a sucker for the fun little things, as is Hannah. We love waking before everyone else and getting breakkie together. They had mickey waffles of course, so we made them every morning! The coffee was strong & the vibe was perfect. 

We hit the park as soon as it opened. We were 1st in line at Space Mountain! We also bought the Genie+ add on to the tickets so our wait times on the big rides were minimal if any! Def worth it!

My cousin Rob and his roommates brother joined us! The guys all had matchy matchy shirts & it was so cute!

Thank you Etsy! The hair bows were genius too! I knew we all would want Ears but noone likes headbands! So we got clips! Hannah found that adorable sequin Minnie Hat at CVS for $10 - score!! 

My friend with a toddler gave me lots of tips for the waiting times.... and it was the best advice. We bought all the Dollar Tree things that were Disney and that really really helped!

We were so impressed yet again with Hudson! Maybe ignorance is bliss! He just did whatever Hannah did. 

This is my favorite ride ever ever. 

This was before the paci was thrown into the waters at Jungle Cruise. The Disney attendant was like "oh is that important?" I'm like yes its her paci. She's like oh it sunk. Good news Disney Good news. Good thing we always travel with 500 pacis just in case! 

Finally we are on the boat and the screaming subsided.

This area was a let down. We get all hyped for a perfectly sized area for Lulu and alas everything is blocked off .... but we did find a car to jump on for a pic!

So maybe she got spoiled. When Dad and her shop she leaves with whatever she wants. And I wouldnt want it any other way. XO

And that was our holiday weekend whirlweek in Cali! SO very thankful for every single memory and all the wonderful family time!

Disney Day 1! 2022

DISNEY 2022 

So thankful that we made this trip actually happen. 

We were having brunch with our friends back in October, and they are obsessed with all things Disney. We casually mentioned that we should go together. And  just like that we got planning and we made it happen faster than we thought! 

Two nights before we leave, Matt got an update that his dream truck was taken in on trade, and we could trade our Yukon for it! I was nervous- I love love loved our Yukon, but Matt does extensive research on our vehicles so I knew it was a good one - but was super nervous for the lack of space. 

With 6 of us, in a 6 seater, traveling as a whole fam means a kiddo is in the front! Not ideal in my mind, but alas... hubby knows... and the space in the truck is actually amazing & it's lifted, so I feel super duper safe in it! 

We packed up the truck on Friday and made the drive west! We LOVED our hotel. It was not on site, so we saved a ton, and were able to get a suite, with bunk beds, such a fun thing for the kiddos. Our room had firework view and we were on the same floor as the pool and rooftop deck. The best part was that our Cali family was able to meet up with us!

So thankful that my aunt and uncle are spontaneous souls and braved the traffic to come meet us & generously treat us to supper! What a fun evening & seriously the best way to kick off a fun weekend!

The kiddos passed out very quick night 1. All snug. 

Here we are! Bright and early, ready to open up California Adventure! It's big rides there are Pixar and Avengers, so we went in theme of course. Such a great way to reuse our Halloween shirts!

Forkie is living her best life with cool light up shoes, in case we last til dark!

Everyone headed to Cars Land and Spidey, we headed to kiddy stuff and walked right on every single ride. 

The joy was huge. 

The tears leaving every single ride were huge too.

Hudson is so beautiful. He was in awe of every single thing. Reality vs fantasy is challenge for him. He was living his best life & it was so very special to see him think so much of it was real. 

He said he knew the code and was wondering why the campus wasn't opening 

Bless his sweet self. 

We got rained on! But while others were huddled to stay dry, we got our new shoes muddy and embraced it all and beat the crowds

( Can you tell I can not stand waiting in lines - especially with a 2 year old ;))

The character meet ups are different with covid but so much better! Gone be the lines! Just snap a pic and a wave and youre on your way!
