1360-1370

Ok, so I upload all these pictures,  my heart is so happy - I love love love looking back at pictures and reliving fun days! I also love love love all things birthday!! What kid at heart doesn't ;)
  So I am thankful on this Monday for.....

 1) Learning:

I learned a few things during party number 10 for Big H and number 5 for Hannah.... one, really decorations are just for me... the birthday kiddos do not care at all... and I'm sure all the guests don't either... games & food are pretty important.. but deco?!  They all get TRASHED anyways... sigh... so 10 years of parties later, I think I may turn minimalist on Numero 11, 6 and 3 :)

2) Organization:
The party was 1/2 inside, 1/2 outside, with corny yet kinda cute carnival games :) Here is an example of the name tags- I loved this idea- the teacher in me had to make sure every activity was visited, and then punched :)

3) Giving
 Love how our friends, {Family of 13} thought to get little buddy a present too :)

4) VBS finale
 This is my "Yay another round of night VBS is in the books and Hudsie can go to bed at normal time" face :) It was our kid's 3rd VBS session, and we really enjoyed it, but it is a huge time commitment each day.

4) Trying to live out Romans 15: 1

5) Sweet Betty.
Huge heart. Made the BEST tacos. Always a smile on her face.
 Now she is ready to go Home ... pray for peace during these hard days and for Pa Tenorio, as he is seriously the MOST dedicated, loving, faithful husband. That part about "sickness and health"... that vow is so easy to say at 20, but now when sickness has plagued Betty for years... leaving Oswaldo home bound much of the time... he means it.. he's there every minute by her side... beautiful couple.. beautiful example..

 6) Yay for a fun birthday gift, Hedbandz Disney, being put to good use. The kids loved that Pa had Ariel :) :)

{Sorry for the blur... but that's Hudson for ya... always jumping or running... or flat out... t*w*o!!!}
7) Today - Monday 7/27- marked Hannah's 1st Dental visit, without me next to her, as a big f-I-v-e year old! She didn't scream, instead she told the hygienist the toothpaste disgusting. Yay for  using your words, sweet girl :)

Stainless Steel Cold Cup - Pink, 16 fl oz
8) Love my mug is on the left... Although my heart REALLY REALLY wants to drink water from the AH-MAZINGLY bright pink Starbucks cup (19.95!!), this was my Dollar Tree find, and I am enjoying drinking my lemon water ... 4 -6 of these babies a day.. Do you drink enough? I always feel thirsty, so having this nearby on our humid days is super helpful :)

9) Reminders

The start of her official birthday DAY... July 22.

10) Hannah Reese Connie Hebert.
Our 5 year old, who got a good Birthday surprise at Texas Roadhouse
{I might have been that crazy mom who called around about places that still hoot and holler for birthdays... and we found the perfect place... Saddled her up and pretty much yelled her birthday wish of being a cowgirl ... to the enduring crowd :)}
Thankful for her heart. Thankful for her ability to ask for forgiveness... pretty fast. Thankful that she has a tremendous love for Hudson. ( She adores Harrison too, but shows it in very different ways ;))  Thankful for her creativity. Thankful for her love of learning new things & her courage in new situations. Thankful that she is working hard at using her words when she gets frustrated. Thankful that she takes solid naps. Thankful for her joy. Thankful that she still wants to snuggle when she wakes up. Thankful that she is healthy. Thankful for her voice- she is our song bird! Thankful for her love of God, and for "his son Christ dying".

{Hannah's birthday week}

Sooo this week is hannahs 5th birthday week...
Big bro already turned 10 in WA, but we missed celebrating all together sooo a double hebert bash is happening on Friday :)
Trying to stay theme less-

Thankful that neon & black seem like perfect gender neutral party decor

Thankful this week for hobby lobby & their awesome deals {50% off neon ribbon }

Thankful for an aquarium date & the new amphibian exhibit  #kissthefrog

Thankful for an easy to follow tutorial on how to print on lunch bags! Easy, cute, cheap fun decor idea! {basically change your margins to the measurement of the bag... The adorable bags are 5 by 10 ish, so I entered that in & perfect!}

Thankful for a sold & totally empty, moved out hall! Sunday was our last gathering on route 6 in new lenox.. Excited to see how God works in all our hearts during the transition time....Although I'm not s huge advocate for big life changes, or I should say, bring them on, but give me a little extra time to adapt ;) ... I do know how instrumental spiritual change is & breaking outta the "norm" and the "same seats" snd the routine feel that sometimes can set in... This change is good. Wake us up. Renew our joy. Set us on fire. Thank you Lord.

Thankful for the reminders about the wilderness & gods provision ... Praying for daily faith to "just step outside our tent" to see all that God will provide

Thankful for family time with out of town relatives at a sox game!

Thankful thst hudson now says "how" and "uh oh". The little things, truly are big & it's adorable ...or slightly obnoxious that we all say how 30000 times a day with him & clap & cheer ;)

Thankful for dunkins fun giftcards!!

Thankful for a fun hubby who likes to wrestle & get jumped on & tackled by three crazy loud adorable ...yet violent monkeys ;)

Fun right?!

1340-1350

Thankful for summer nights

Thankful for Matt's ulcer situation, to be 1} diagnosed & 2} on the mend
. A quick trip to ER, a few scans and tests and 4 prescriptions later, he is on slowly getting back to healthy :)

Thankful for another awesome year at Good Shepherd VBS

Thankful for the cool blue-tooth meat thermometer we got for our smoker

Thankful for family time
Thankful for cotton candy

Thankful that Betty Crocker decided to replenish all the stores with her delish Rainbow Chip frosting
{Amazon is selling for 10 bucks each! I bought 7 at Walmart, for 1.60 each!}
Thankful for Thursday nights as our possible new whole family together time

Thankful for clear direct signs from Heaven... for our lives
Thankful for a very special preacher, Mr. Hull, he is now in Heaven, with His savior whom he loved so much and told so many about. We have many happy memories of him & below is the very inspiring & uplifting, yet personally challenging messages from his funeral... I needed to hear Peter Ramsey's awesome lessons from Mr. Hull over and over again & after writing them down, I hope to live more "outside the box, but inside the book" and be "more gracious"...
http://www.mattatallvarnerfh.com/obituaries/99270, it works best on a computer, not phone, and theres a link on the left hand sign to watch "video of funeral". Enjoy. Allow the Lord to speak to you.

Hannah's not a cake lover, so her b-day cake was cotton candy with a candle on top :)

Scripture writing time

 Hannah's attempts of verse writing :)

*J u b i l a n t J u l y *

Happy Monday!!

The day after a long, holiday weekend seems like either a let down......
 {*when's the next fun festive holiday? Halloween and Thanksgiving!! Too far away! *} {Hobby Lobby reminded me today- pumpkins are out! We cant wait for football, but I want pool and sun time for a while before harvest happens}
...or the beginning of summer for real ;)

Ill go with the latter ...

I love the word Jubilant, worth 17 scrabble points, and means "feeling or expressing great happiness and triumph"

July will be a good, exciting, *hopefully* hot month. Let the summer memories be made!

10 things I am thankful for ...........
The illustrations in here captivate Harrison, and there's no better summer read, than the Bible

 Went thrift store hunting today- with one specific need- shoe organization... BOOM... brand new in box, 6.99, saved a few bucks from Target's retail & saved my poor Target Red Debit card from more abuse ;)

Love my 1st Lindsay Letter's piece of art from Hobby Lobby... @linday_letters {on instagram} love that it's from a Christmas song, but the message is year round solid, baby! Plus it was 3.40- plus it makes me hum Christmas songs in July ... win win win... and..... my attempt at a black and gold gallery wall is coming together! #winagain

Love this slow cooker!
{Monday's meal: whole chicken, cooked with water, garlic, jalapeños, celery & potatoes... plan to serve with Red pepper hummus & crunchy snap peas on the side...}

Since there is no sand in my back yard... or in our near future... this candle makes me think I am at Wingaersheek Beach... sprayed in tanning oil, embracing the waves & salt air... seriously if a 10 dollar Target candle does that, it's pretty remarkable ;)

Thankful for watching sweet Ava act out in the homeschool American Revolution play

Thankful for  family... Uncle Mark's Nike giftcard + Auntie Paula's nike discount = Venom Nikes for our almost 5th grader!

What a perfect way to start the day... left at 6:30 to grab fresh donuts for the flock on Sunday- and met 2 little deer almost crossing the road :)

The squinting is crazy, sorry kids,  but love that they toughed out the extreme brightness for their yearly Good Shepherd VBS pic :)

Thankful for Meijer... that store may be equally as dangerous as Target, especially now that I have their MPerks app...  these little signs make our small cooking area just a tad bit cuter :)
